New arrivals hit the ground running in ISL
Kolkata: In spite of a cruel result in Kolkata, there were plenty of positives to take from Hyderabad’s clash against East Bengal on Saturday.
Hyderabad named a starting XI with three debutants in Joe Knowles, Felipe Amorim and Petteri Pennanen, all of who put in solid performances all throughout the game.
Oswaldo Alanis and Vignesh Dakshinamurthy also got their first taste of action in Yellow and Black, coming off the bench.

Knowles, who forced Prabhsukhan Gill into a couple of crucial saves, was a constant threat to the hosts.
Completing 17 of his 21 passes, Knowles won three fouls and also won all three of his tackles on the night.
Pennanen took it on him to run the game in the middle of the park. With a passing accuracy of 95%, the Finnish medio was one of the best players on the field on a tough night in Kolkata.
Brazilian attacker Felipe Amorim led the attack for Hyderabad and was full of energy all game. He created a couple of chances and could have been on the scoresheet on another day.

Oswaldo Alanis also made his Indian Super League debut with a late cameo where he looked solid and dealt with the likes of Cleiton Silva pretty well.
He came on along with Vignesh, who played his first game in Yellow and Black and looked solid in the left-back role.
Hyderabad are back in action when they take on Jamshedpur FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday, October 5.
