Born and brought up on the shores of Panji in Goa, Devendra started his football career with Salgaocar as a teenager. The 25-year-old broke through the ranks at the club and was soon seen scoring 20 goals in the 2018-19 Goa Pro League, where he was the top goalscorer. He spent three years with the senior team before he was introduced to the Indian Super League back in 2020. Devendra has since been a mainstay in the first team with the Gaurs, where he has featured in 46 league games, along with an impactful outing in the AFC Champions League back in 2021. He has won the Shield, and the Durand Cup, where he was the top goal scorer with five goals in six outings. He is a versatile and dangerous winger, who doesn’t shy away from his defensive duties and will be an important presence in the young squad at Hyderabad FC.
