Known in the footballing circuit as Sana, Chinglensana Konsham is a versatile defender who has been a regular in the ISL for a long time now. Sana started his youth career with Mahindra United, spent time with the likes of Air India and Tata Football Academy before joining Shillong Lajong, announcing himself to the I-League. He spent two years at the club and was roped into the Indian Super League by Delhi Dynamos in 2016, featuring regularly in their run to the playoffs that season. The following season he joined FC Goa and has been integral to the club’s success in the last few seasons where he picked up the Super Cup in 2019 and the ISL League Winners’ shield in 2020. He has also represented India at all the youth levels and made his senior debut against Bhutan in a Friendly in 2017. He managed to cement his place under Manolo Marquez, making 18 league starts and breaking into Igor Stimac’s national side. Sana is now India’s No 4 and a crucial member of the squad at Hyderabad FC, having signed a four-year contract with the club in August 2021. He started 21 games in the recent title-winning campaign for HFC and is now a senior figure in the squad. He is one of the first names in the Starting XI at HFC and will be crucial for the 2023-24 campaign!
