7 Joel Chianese

A versatile footballer who is lethal in front of goal, the Australian-born attacker started his career with Sydney FC’s academy and made his A-League debut in 2011. Chianese represented two other clubs in Australia’s National Premier League before moving to Malaysia in 2015. In his only year outside his home country, Chianese registered 17 goals in 29 top-flight appearances in the country and found a way back to the A-League with Perth Glory. He won the top-flight Premiership with Perth in 2019 and moved to the ISL at the start of the 2020-21 ISL campaign. Even in a campaign troubled with injuries, Chianese registered three goals and an assist for Manolo Marquez’s side before signing a contract extension with the club earlier this year. He was also crucial in the recent season where Hyderabad lifted the trophy, as Chianese made important contributions on our way to turning Champions. The Aussie attacker has six goals and two assists in 27 games last season, as he quit the club after three successful and impactful seasons in India.
