27 Nikhil Poojary

Hailing from Mangalore, Poojary started his career with youth teams in Mumbai before turning out for Mumbai FC in the AIFF Youth Leagues. His performances caught the eye of Kolkata-based East Bengal who signed him up in 2015. Having represented East Bengal in the CFL and I-League during two seasons, Poojary returned to Maharashtra, this time joining Pune City. A full Indian international since 2017, Poojary played every minute of HFC’s debut campaign and also played a crucial role in a 2020-21 campaign hampered with an injury. He was a mainstay in the first team in the trophy-winning 2021-22 season, where he also sported the arm band for the club after securing his first goal for the club. Poojary is now an integral part of the club and will receive a cheer everything he is on the ball at Gachibowl next season.
