Another versatile player in the Hyderabad FC squad, Souvik has been a consistent performer for various teams he has played since turning professional in 2009. The Bengali defender has shined for Kolkata heavyweights Mohun Bagan winning the I-League and the Federation Cup titles with them. In fact, Souvik picked up his first national honours with Air India winning the Durand Cup in 2012. He has been part of the Indian Super League in all six seasons joining Hyderabad FC in January 2020, making six appearances under Manolo Marquez in the 2020-21 ISL campaign. He also made 16 appearances for the club in the 2021-22 ISL campaign, including some match-winning performance en route to helping HFC win their maiden ISL title.
