The Jalandhar-born playmaker started his footballing journey at the Chandigarh Football Academy before joining the famous Tata Football Academy as an exciting prospect. He was soon snapped up by Mumbai FC in 2015 and Hitesh was a consistent name in the first team in his three years at the club. He made his debut in the Indian Super League at ATK under Head Coach Teddy Sheringham. The youngster was called up to the national side on two occasions – AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers in Qatar, and SAFF Championships in Bangladesh last year, where they finished runners-up. He was a trusted midfielder for Manolo Marquez in the 2020-21 ISL campaign, making 15 appearances for the club, playing a crucial role in their 5th placed finish. He also mad ten appearances for the club registering two assists as Hyderabad FC lifted the ISL trophy in the 2021-22 season. Hitesh has since become a regular in the first team at HFC and will look to continue his good work in the 2023-24 campaign.
