A young and highly rated prospect from Thrissur, Abijith joined the Hyderabad reserve team in 2023, after impressing in the Kerala State Junio nationals and has ever since been one of the best young attackers at the club. He was the top goal scorer for the reserve team in the RF Development League and also featured in the I-League second division before being promoted into the first team this season. He made his debut for the senior side in the Kalinga Super Cup and also made his ISL debut in February. Abijith has since grown in stature, slowly getting a chance to start league games in the middle of the park for the Nawabs. He is a versatile and all-round footballer, who will play a crucial role in Thangboi coach’s young HFC side this season as well.
