Born and brought up in Las Palmas, Borja started off with the academy in the Canary Islands. He was a part of the squad at Anexo Del Estadio Gran Canaria during Manolo Marquez’s time at the club and the duo will now be reunited in Yellow and Black. Borja came to India with over 100 appearances across all divisions in Spain, and was impressive in his debut season in India. He registered five goals and nine assists in all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign in all competitions and was crucial in HFC finishing 2nd and qualifying for two semi-finals in the same season. He will ply his trade for East Bengal FC after joining them for the 2023-24 campaign.
