One of the tallest players to ever grace the Indian Super League, Stefan Sapic is Hyderabad’s latest foreign acquisition of the 2024-25 season. Born and brought up in Belgrade, the 27-year-old started his career in the lower leagues in his home town with Zarkovo and Partisan before joining the Serbian top division with Cukaricki. Sapic spent eight seasons with the club, where he played 124 league games. Standing at 2.02m tall, Stefan Sapic won the Serban Youth League as a captain of the youth side, and was then a part of the squad for the 2016-17 UEFA Europa League. He has since spent time in Russia and Bosnia, but will now get his first taste of Indian football this season. A tall and physically imposing centre-back, Sapic will also play a crucial role as a leader, on and off the pitch for this young HFC side.
