After the confident start from the young side, Coach Shameel Chembakath shared his thoughts on the 5-0 victory as the team looks forward to their next fixture in Group D.
On the result and the team’s performance…
It was a great and a special moment, as we played in the prestigious tournament for the very first time. I think our young team showed a lot of personality today and deserved the three points. I am pleased with the result but we need to keep working hard and get to the next game with the same energy.

On the star performers…
I think everyone did their part in the game. But it is too early to talk about individual performances as we are just one game into the tournament. We would now like to carry forward this momentum onto the next challenge.

I know that the next game against Gokulam Kerala will be really tough for us. But the youngsters will go ahead with the same spirit we showed in this game. I am now looking forward to a strong and resilient performance from the boys. We all know that we need to work harder to reach the next level.
