Akash Mishra speaks after the draw against Odisha FC
Continuing his impressive run of form in the Indian Super League this season, Akash Mishra put on yet another matured performance, against Odisha FC. The youngster made a couple of goal-line saves, constantly cleared danger down his side and was crucial in Hyderabad earning a point on Tuesday. After the game, he spoke about his performance, conceding the equalizer, the mood in the camp and more…
On the result…
In the first half, when we were in control of the game, we should have converted our chances and finished off the game. We had a couple of clear chances and were unlucky to not win the game. But in the second half, Odisha were really strong and tested out defence, and probably deserved that point.
On conceding the equalizer…
I think we were a bit casual and lost our concentration but that is all a part of the game. They created decent chances so we cannot talk much about it. But even after their goal, we should have kept going hard, and maybe we did not do enough on the night.
Not 1⃣, Not 2⃣, But 3⃣ defining goal-line blocks to add to an all-round performance from our left-back Akash Mishra.
He is also who you’ve chosen as the @VijaySales ‘Performer of the Match’ in #HFCOFC!

On the upcoming challenges…
I like to take it game by game. I don’t focus much on the opponent. Our coach always reminds us not to look too far ahead and only focus on the next game and that is what we like to do. Our next game is against Jamshedpur and our aim is to be in the best shape for that game.
On being a part of the squad at HFC…
I feel very comfortable at the club. We have a mix of young and experienced players but we feel everyone is equal here so it’s nice to be a part of this team.
