20 teams, 400 players mark an impressive turnout for the first-of-its-kind tournament in the city
Hyderabad: In a first-of-its-kind 11-a-side community football tournament in Hyderabad, Indian Super League defending Champions Hyderabad FC successfully completed the first edition of the HFC Community Cup last weekend.
Cantonment FC beat Golconda Old Boys FC in a final that was decided on penalties.
The tournament which was held for the U17 age group at the Gymkhana Grounds in Secunderabad attracted a planet of kids from different corners of the city.
The football tournament that ran for a total of six weeks, saw 400 players and 20 teams showcase their talent from all around Hyderabad.
The semi-finals and the finals were held on 23rd and 24th of October, with HFC stars Odei Onaindia and Alex Saji there to witness the final day’s action from up close.
