Hyderabad beat Sreenidi Deccan FC in friendly on Saturday

Danu, Aaren, Chhangte and Manoj among the goals as HFC beat SDFC 4-1

Hyderabad: Manolo Marquez’s Hyderabad FC played out an entertaining friendly with fellow rivals Sreenidi Deccan FC at their training ground in Aziz Nagar on a bright Saturday morning here in Hyderabad, with HFC registering a 4-1 victory.

Rohit Danu, Aaren D’Silva, Manoj Mohammad and Lalchungnunga Chhangte were among the goals for Hyderabad while Vineet Kumar was on the scoresheet for the visitors in a testing game for both sides.

Danu scored early in the game after Borja Herrera produced an excellent cross beating the entire SDFC backline and setting up a tap-in for the youngsters.

Vineet Kumar equalized after the break but Manoj Mohammad popped up with a game-changing second half, first scoring a long ranger that deflected into the net while also providing a superb assist for Aaren’s goal.

Aaren’s header was a smart one, that got Hyderabad into a two-goal lead before Chhangte finished of the game with a smart finish.

Joel Chianese, who came on for the last 20 minutes, was full of energy. He stole the ball and set Chhangte up on his way as Hyderabad finished the game with a 4-1 victory.

Lalbiakhlua Jongte pulled out of a couple of crucial saves while the likes of Nim Dorjee Tamang, Alex Saji, Mark Zothanpuia, Abdul Rabeeh, Reagan Singh and Sweden Fernandes all got some game time under their belt.

Hyderabad FC are back in action in the Indian Super League when they take on Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangaluru on Friday, December 23.
