The youngsters played out a goalless draw against Dempo SC on Saturday
Bengaluru: After a tough start to their Hero 2nd Division League campaign, Hyderabad FC B registered their first point on the table after a 0-0 draw against Dempo SC at the Bengaluru Football Stadium on Saturday.
Coach Renjith’s side put on a strong performance in the first two games and followed it up with a resolute outing in the third game of their campaign.
Dempo SC started off well, winning the midfield battles but the HFC B backline stood firm and hardly gave them a shot on goal. Aman Sahani was called into action a couple of times but it was HFC B that grew into it as the game progressed.
There were plenty of smart moves in attack from both sides but the final ball was missing, which meant that both goalkeepers were fairly comfortable for most of the game.
Even as the substitutes from either side added some impetus in the end, both teams cancelled out each other failing to find the back of the net in the 90 minutes.
This is HFC B’s first point on board and they will look to build some momentum and put in a stronger performance when they take on the FC Goa reserve side at the Bengaluru Football Stadium on Monday, April 3.
