Youngsters beat FC Goa (R) 2-0 at the Nagoa Ground on Sunday

Goa: Hyderabad FC B registered their first win of the Hero 2^nd Division League campaign against FC Goa at the Nagoa Panchayat Ground in Goa on Sunday. With this 2-0 victory, HFC now have four points from their six games and stand fourth in the league table with just one more game to play.

Joel Fernandes’ 12th-minute own goal gave HFC B an early lead in the game while Aron Vanlalrinchhana doubled the lead in the 35^th minute which was eventually enough to get all three points.

Versly Paes was sent off in the 23^rd minute for a rash tackle which pushed FC Goa (R) to play with 10 men for over an hour.

With more than two crucial changes to the Starting XI, Head Coach Renjith PA mixed things up for this game and his side put up a strong fight to register their first win in the competition.

This was HFC B’s second clean sheet of the campaign as they ensured a 4^th place finish in Group D come the end of the campaign.

The youngsters are back in action one last time when they take on Dempo Sports Club in Goa on Thursday, April 27.
