Hyderabad visit Mumbai in early kick-off

The Nawabs will look to bounce back against Mumbai after a heavy defeat in the last round

Hyderabad: Hyderabad FC are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Mumbai in the early kick-off of a double header in the Indian Super League this weekend.

In what will be their first 5:00 pm kick-off, HFC take on Mumbai City FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on November 30.

Both teams are fresh from tough losses in the last round and will hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Petr Kratkyโ€™s side, like Hyderabad, have just two wins in their eight league games so far this season.

The likes of Tiri, Mehtab Singh, Yoell van Nieff, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Jon Toral, Nikos Karelis, Brandon Fernandes and Jeremy Monzoro have all struggled to find their best form this season.

But Mumbai City have one of the strongest sides in the competition and will surely put in a tough fight against the Nawabs in this game.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, HFC Head Coach Thangboi Singto believes that both teams will come out with their best game.

โ€œMumbai are a strong team, especially when playing at home,โ€ said coach Thangboi.

โ€œHyderabad and Mumbai have similar playing styles, are wounded from the defeat in the previous round and will want to put in a strong showing, making this a tough game,โ€ he added.

Coach Thangboiโ€™s side withered under pressure against Odisha, but have shown enough promise throughout the season to suggest a better performance in this game.

The duo of Alex Saji and Stefan Sapic have stuck to their task and have been ably helped by Muhammed Rafi and Parag Shirvas at the back.

Cy Goddard, Allan Paulista, Andrei Alba and Edmilson Correia will all hope to add some goals to their name.ย  So will the wing-duo of Ramhlunchhunga and Abdul Rabeeh, both of who had a quiet game against Odisha.

But it is important that they put the previous result behind them and work together, said Coach Thangboi.

โ€œThe result in the last round was painful but we now have to stick together and fight together,โ€ he said.

โ€œWe need to show that we have worked really hard in training ahead of this game and need to come out stronger against a tough side,โ€ coach Thangboi added.

The Nawabs did register a point each in their last two trips to the MFA and will believe that they can go toe-to-toe against the Islanders in this game.

Both teams are in search of three points to try and climb up the points table in an early kick-off on Saturday.

The game kicks-off at 5:00pm IST on Saturday, November 30, and will be telecasted live on Sports 18 and Asianet with free streaming on Jio Cinema.
