Manoj Mohammed stepped up with his first senior goal in 1-1 draw
Hyderabad: Hyderabad FC finally registered their first point at home since the stalemate against Chennaiyin, in the ongoing 2024-25 Indian Super League season.
The Nawabs put in a strong performance against East Bengal at the Gachibowli Stadium, in an early kick-off on Saturday, December 28.
Manoj Mohammad’s 90th-minute goal cancelled Jeakson’s 64th-minute header as the game ended all square at 1-1 on the night.
Edmilson Correia, who was rightly named the ‘Player of the Match’, picked up the assist for Manoj’s goal.

He also had a couple of really close attempts and was a bit too hot to handle for the visitors.
Arshdeep Singh was unlucky to concede from a rebound at the end of a Cleiton Silva free-kick.
However, the backline of Stefan Sapic, Alex Saji, Abdul Rabeeh, and Manoj was solid, and never allowed EBFC to settle into their rhythm.
Andrei Alba, Isaac Vanmalsawma and Cy Goddard were full of energy and had their moments as well.
But it was a collective display, buoyed by the noisy Yellow and Black at the Gachibowli Stadium, that saw Hyderabad register their second draw at home.

Devendra Murgaonkar, Allan Paulista and Sourav K all came off the bench.
They also had their moments in what was a thrilling end to a testing affair for both sides.
However, Correia’s ball for Manoj’s overlap on the left, at the end of a well-worked move was perfect for the full-back, who chose the right time to score his first Indian Super League goal.
Hyderabad are now on eight points after 13 games and will hope to build on this performance going into the next game.
HFC are back in action when they kick off the ISL campaign for 2025. They travel to Kolkata to take on Mohun Bagan at the VYBK Stadium on Thursday, January 2.
