Rafi spoke about moving up the ladder and making it to the first team, the challenges against Mohammedan SC and more…
On settling into the first team…
There were a lot of challenges in my journey to the first team. I joined the reserve team under Coach Shameel who brought me to this club. He and Coach Thangboi (Singto) were both very supportive, on and off the field. Not just me, both coaches are very helpful to every youngster in the squad, which helps us settle in the first team and grow as players and individuals.

On the challenges against MSC…
Mohammedan SC are a strong team, who won the I-League last season and are now in the Indian Super League. But It is all about sticking to our plans and preparations from before the game. It is important that we focus on improving ourselves and how we play and hopefully, we get a good result in this game.
On the hostility of the crowd at KBK…
In Kolkata, the supporters always play a big role. Mohammedan have a lot of fans, who will not just help their own team but will push us as well when they cheer against us. Surely, we are looking forward to a good game tomorrow.
