Hyderabad dominate BFC in 1-1 draw; Unlucky to settle for a point
Hyderabad: The Yellow and Black put in an impressive performance against Bengaluru FC here at the Gachibowli Stadium on Saturday.
Devendra Murgaonkar (21’) opened the scoring on the night, netting his first goal in HFC colours.
Sunil Chhetri (78’) found the equalizer with BFC’s biggest chance of the game to make it 1-1.
The visitors started the game controlling the ball, but did not test Arshdeep Singh on goal before Hyderabad took the lead.

20 minutes in, Ramhlunchhunga put in a delightful cross to the far post from the left and Devendra responded with a precise header to beat Gurpreet Singh on goal and give his side the lead.
Hyderabad pushed on and created plenty of half chances, even as BFC were happy to keep the ball in less dangerous areas.
Joseph Sunny, Allan Paulista, Andrei Alba, Ramhlunchhunga, Sourav K and even Parag Shirvas very late in the game, all had chances to win the tie for Hyderabad.
But Sunil Chhetri popped up at a crucial time for the Blues, thumping a header in to secure a point for the visitors.
Hyderabad showed that they are growing stronger, and put in an impressive performance, even with just three overseas players featuring for the Yellow and Black all night.
Coach Shameel Chembakath praised his side’s character and grit to fight till the end.
