Late goals from East Bengal leave Hyderabad empty-handed on last away trip of the season
Kolkata: Hyderabad FC fell to a pressing defeat here at the Salt Lake Stadium on Wednesday.
A Manoj Mohammad own goal (86′) and a late strike from Messi Bouli (90+4′) sealed a 2-0 victory for East Bengal
Edmilson Correia, Joseph Sunny and Abdul Rabeeh had their chances in the first half but failed to find the back of the net.
The teams came out after the break on level terms, and toiled hard till late in the game before a set-piece provided the break through.
Manoj’s unlucky glance left Arshdeep Singh with no chance as East Bengal took the lead from a corner just four minutes from time.
