We want to make our fans proud: Arshdeep Singh

HFC shot-stopper Arshdeep Singh speaks to the media ahead of #HFCPFC

Hyderabad: The Nawabs are back in action in the Indian Super League this Thursday.

Hyderabad welcome Punjab FC to the Gachibowli Stadium on March 6 in a crunch clash.

Interim Coach Shameel Chembakath was joined by goal keeper Arshdeep Singh in addressing the media at the pre-match press conference ahead of this game,

This is what Arshdeep Singh had to say

On the upcoming challenges…

I think they have a really good team, at times very dangerous. They have really good foreigners and their Indian players are doing really well too. But we need to focus on ourselves. It is about us and how we play. We just want to give our best and make everyone who comes to watch us proud.

On improving as a team…

We know our vulnerabilities and areas that we need to work on and we are working hard on improving in every training session. We made an error in the last 84th minute on a set-piece in the last game and these are the kind of things we have been trying to eliminate all season.

On playing against a strong Punjab attack…

It is always good to be playing against strong players. As a goal-keeper or the defence line, when you play against good players, you push yourself and do well. Team is confident and we are going to give it our all tomorrow.

On the mood in the camp…

The morale at the moment is amazing. Everyone is positive, and the best thing about the team is that we never give up. We know we are not in the race for the top-6 but we still want to do well, prove ourselves and give the best for our team.
