HFC begin pre-season training in Hyderabad

Hyderabad’s season kicks off with the Durand Cup in August

Hyderabad: After a memorable 2021-22 Indian Super League campaign, Hyderabad FC have kicked off their pre-season for the upcoming season earlier this week at The Gaudium School.

Having clinched the ISL title back in March, Hyderabad FC begin their new season in the Durand Cup, as they face TRAU FC on August 22 in their Group C opener.

The Indian contingent started arriving in the city on the 24th with new signings Alex Saji, Manoj Mohammad and Soyal Joshy also settling in with the team at the Sheraton in Gachibowli.

Youngsters Lalchungnunga Chhangte and Aman Kumar Sahani also joined the first team after impressing with the reserve team last season.

The boys started training from the 25th of July, with First Team Assistant Coach Shameel Chembakath taking charge alongside Technical Director Thangboi Singto to kick off the pre-season.

The Durand Cup is a shot at silverware before the ISL campaign is underway and Hyderabad FC are determined to give it their best.
