Manolo Marquez arrives in Hyderabad

The Boss takes charge of HFC pre-season

Hyderabad: Having delivered Hyderabad’s first top-flight title in over sixty years, last season, Head Coach Manolo Marquez is back with the team in a bid to do it all over again.

The Spanish mastermind joined HFC in 2020 and took the team to the brink of playoffs in his first season at the club.

In his second season, Hyderabad turned Champions in the ISL final and were just one good result away from lifting the League shield.

And the coach is now determined to get things running again, as he took charge of the pre-season training at the Gaudium from August 1.

He is helped by Assistant Coach Benito Montalvo, who also played a crucial role in the historic ISL campaign last season.

Hyderabad kick-off their 2022-23 campaign with the Durand Cup in Imphal and Coach Manolo has a group of youngsters brimming with confidence, to work with, ahead of the competition.

New signing Borja Herrera and star striker Javi Siverio also landed in the city last week and are now a part of the pre-season training at The Gaudium School.

Akash Mishra also landed in the city this week, as Hyderabad are determined to put on a strong show in the Durand Cup starting later this month.
