HFC’s 2023-24 season kicks off with Durand Cup clash early August
Hyderabad: After a well-deserved break at the end of a hefty season of Indian football, the stars of Hyderabad FC are back in training, as they look to get in shape for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.
First Team Coach Conor Nestor and Head Coach Thangboi Singto, along with Assistant Coach Shameel Chembakath took charge of the training sessions with a squad full of fresh faces.
New foreign signings Jonathan Moya, Petteri Pennanen and Joe Knowles were joined by the fresh faces of Vignesh Dakshinamurthy, Makan Chothe, Sajad Parray and Aaryan Saroha as the HFC training facility in Aziz Nagar saw the net ripple for the first time in months.
Loanees, Alex Saji and Ramhlunchhunga were also there to impress along with Muhammad Rafi, Aman Kumar Sahani and Laldanmawia, all three of who have been promoted to first-team for pre-season training.
Nikhil Poojary and Gurmeet Singh are back after a successful stint with the national team while Laxmikant Kattimani and Hitesh Sharma are also back in full team training. The cheerful faces of Chinglensana Konsham, Mohammad Yasir, Sahil Tavora, Abdul Rabeeh, Aaren D’Silva, Anuj Kumar, , Mark Zothanpuia, Nim Dorjee Tamang and Manoj Mohammad were also present as the Yellow and Black aim to find full fitness ahead of the new campaign.
Hyderabad FC kick-off their new season with the Durand Cup Group E clash against Delhi FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, August 6.
