Born and brought up on the shores of Cuncolim, Goa, 26-year-old Leander D’Cunha is one of the many exciting additions to the squad at Hyderabad this season. The 26-year-old started his career at the SESA Football Academy where he spent a couple of years as a teenager. He soon joined the Churchill Brothers Academy in 2015 before being snapped up by the Gaurs, who signed him for their reserve side. D’Cunha impressed enough to earn a senior side call-up in 2020 and he has ever since been a mainstay in the ISL squad. A right-back by trait, D’Cunha 24 I-League appearances and 11 ISL appearances to add to his impressive games in the Durand Cup, the Super Cup and the AFC Champions League. He will look to impress Coach Thangboi in his time with the Yellow and Black.
