Brazilian midfielder joins as fourth foreign signing this season
Hyderabad: Hyderabad FC have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Andrei Alba, the club announced on Friday.
The 29-year-old is one of the most exciting overseas talent on show in the 2024-25 Indian Super League season.
Coming from the South East coast of Brazil, Alba is a seasoned campaigner, who has spent over a decade in the Brazilian professional football scene.
He started out at the Gremio academy and made his Serie A debut with Chapecoense at just 20 years of age.
Now 29, Alba has spent the decade travelling around Brazil and has the Catarinense 1, Catarinense 2, and the Brasiliense A trophies to his name.
A midfielder who is famed for his ability to control the tempo of the game, Alba spent the last season in Albania.
He was a crucial part of the first team at Erzeni and will add further experience to the young squad at Hyderabad.
