HFC defender Parag speaks to the media ahead of the Mohun Bagan clash
Hyderabad: After a massive victory over Mohammedan in the last round, Hyderabad FC are back in action on October 30.
They welcome Mohun Bagan to the Maidaan this Wednesday and defender Parag Shrivas joined Head Coach Thangboi Singto to address the media in the pre-match press conference ahead of this clash.
He spoke about the transition to Hyderabad FC, his time at the club so far and more…
On his transition to the Yellow and Black…
As a professional footballer, it is important that you adjust and adapt when you change clubs. To be honest, even I was excited to move out of my ‘comfort zone’ in Bengaluru. I was struggling for game time there but a big thank you to the coach and management at Hyderabad for believing in me and now it is on me to keep working hard.

On scoring his first ISL goal…
It was a great feeling to score my first ISL goal. I missed the last game because of a suspension but the coach trusted me in the starting XI in this game and it feels great that it all paid off in the end. The confidence in attack I had also came from the coach so I would like to thank him for trusting me.
On the squad at HFC…
We are still settling in as a team. We are improving everyday in training and are only growing stronger by the day. The confidence is also on the rise and hopefully, we can build on the same and put in strong performances in the upcoming games.

On improving his shooting…
We have a dedicated time where we improve on particular skills like shooting and finishing. I work a lot on my crossing too but yes, I like to work on my finishing too and that certainly helped in the last game.
On his recent suspension…
I was unlucky to get that red in Jamshedpur. I did make a couple of rash tackles, and may be the referee decided that I was a bit too rough that day. Things like this happen during a game but what is important is that I have learnt from my mistakes and will try to make sure it does not happen again.
