Indian Super League, Round 2

Hyderabad FC were held to a goalless draw at Fatorda on Saturday. While Manolo Marquez’s men dominated the proceedings, hosts Bengaluru FC failed to register a single shot on target all night. Here are some more interesting stats from this game:

333 passes

The number of passes completed by Hyderabad at Fatorda. We controlled possession well and looked dangerous on the counter.

96% pass accuracy

Odei Onaindia’s pass accuracy. For the second game running, our Spanish rock put in another commanding display. He was at his very best completing 47 of his 49 attempted passes.

8 clearances

Clearances by Asish Rai. His performances had it all–headers, blocks, tackles and interceptions as well. A testament of our right-back’s athleticism.

8 shots

The number of total attempts we had on Bengaluru’s goal. While we were off target on several occasions ourselves, it’s interesting to note that the Blues registered no shot on target all game, with their only closest attempt coming late on in the game.

4 shots

The number of shots Mohammad Yasir attempted. Our number 10 replaced Joel Chianese after the half hour mark and registered the joint-most shots on the night against Bengaluru.

0 bookings

The number of cards collected by HFC on the night. Taking cue from our coach’s insistence on discipline, we put in another controlled performance and steered clear of the referee’s books.
