Indian Super League, Round 1

Number of touches Liston Colaco had in just 28 minutes – 22. “For 2 years I have been waiting for this chance,” said Colaco in the post-match interview. He had an instant impact from the bench coming on, just after the hour mark. “It’s every player’s dream to make the Starting XI and I want to work hard to achieve that,” he added.

Number of blocks Ashish Rai made. The full-back was on song as he ensured nothing went past him. ‘Keeping a clean sheet was the most satisfying part of the game,” said Rai, speaking after a game.

Pass accuracy of Odei Onaindia. The defender misplaced only three passes in the entire match. Kept Subrata Paul on goal relatively untested.

Number of passes by Lluis Sastre; the most in the game. Controlled the tempo and kept the ball rolling for HFC.

Number of fouls drawn by Halicharan Narzary in the match. The winger tormented opposition’s wingbacks with neat touches, trademark turns and deft pirouettes. It was Halicharan’s stinging shot that struck the arm of former Premier League defender Steven Taylor, that earned us the decisive penalty kick.
