Key Numbers #MCFCHFC

Indian Super League, Round 11

Back in action today after a full week’s rest, Hyderabad FC take on Mumbai City FC in a crunching game in Bambolim. We take a look at some key numbers and figures ahead of our clash against the Highlanders.

145 Shots

As rightly pointed out by Manolo Marquez, Hyderabad is one of the teams to have created the most chances. This has reflected in the 145 shots we have taken so far. Aridane alone has attempted 30 shots in total so far, the highest among Hyderabad and Mumbai.

15 Shots on Target

Aridane Santana has been in fine form in front of goal this season. He has attempted 30 shots in the nine games he has played, registering 15 shots on target, the second-highest in the league so far.

32 Goals

Both Hyderabad (15) and Mumbai (17) are inside the top-3 in the goalscoring charts for the ISL this season. The two teams also top the charts for chances created, making this an exciting encounter.

277 Fouls

Both Hyderabad and Mumbai City don’t like to make too many mistakes in possession. That has allowed them to be disciplined on the field and it is no surprise that they are bottom of the league table for bookings. HFC have made 140 fouls this season and Mumbai, 138. Only Odisha FC (137) have made fewer fouls than these two clubs, 10 games into the season.

30 Yellow Cards

Though versatile in the attack, Mumbai’s defensive tactics are based on breaking their opposition’s rhythm down. This has a cost of 30 bookings, the most by any team. Hyderabad on the other hand has picked up only 13, the least in the league.
