Indian Super League, Round 19

A resilient Hyderabad FC put in a strong performance against ATK Mohun Bagan but were held to a point, after a late equalizer from the visitors, at Vasco, on Monday. We take a look at some interesting stats after the game…

10 Goals

Just eight minutes into the game, Aridane Santana pounced on to a mistake from the ATKMB backline and managed to find the back of the net. This was his 10th goal of the season, and also has two assists to add to our captain’s name.

11 Goal Contributions

After that goal from Roland, Hyderabad FC have now seen seven goals scored by players coming off the bench to add to four assists as well. A lot of credit goes to the attitude of the players but Manolo Marquez’s changes have gone a long way in the league position HFC find themselves in at the moment.

1st Touch

Coming off the bench, Roland Alberg fired Hyderabad into the lead with his first touch of the game against ATK Mohun Bagan. The midfielder scored his first Indian Super League goal and almost won all three points for his side.

21 Interceptions

Hyderabad made 21 interceptions on the night. With a man down, we became even more compact, cutting out ATKMB’s passing phases. Left-back Akash Mishra made five of them alone. ATK Mohun Bagan on the other hand managed only 10, with 11 players on the pitch.

1,193 Touches

Only two players in the ISL this season have had more touches of the ball than our full-back Akash Mishra. MCFC Ahmed Jahouh (1,358) and Edu Bedia (1,502) are the only players that better Mishra’s tally of 1,193 touches in 19 league games.
