Young Hyderabad FC fight till the end; Fall to 1-0 defeat from a set-piece
Mumbai: Hyderabad FC toiled hard but fell to a tough defeat at the Mumbai Football Arena here on Saturday.
In an early kick-off on the West Coast, the hosts started the game strong and managed to take the lead through Mehtab Singh’s 29th minute header from a corner.
Thangboi Singto’s side then grew into the game and managed to push Mumbai City back right until the final whistle.
But Hyderabad failed to breach Phurba Lachenpa’s goal, leaving Mumbai empty-handed.

The likes of Ramhlunchhunga, Abdul Rabeeh, Edmilson Correia, Cy Goddard and Allan Paulista had their chances on the night.
Lalbiakhlua Jongte pulled off a few saves in a tough first half-hour of the game to keep the score at 1-0.
Stefan Sapic and Alex Saji had their work cut out but stood tall to take the game right till the end.
But it was not Hyderabad’s day, as they failed to convert from their seven attempts on goal.
The Nawabs are back in action next Wednesday when they welcome FC Goa to the Maidaan on December 4.
