‘Hero of the Match’ Sana speaks about the goalless draw against BFC
Panaji, Goa: Making his debut for Hyderabad FC in the Indian Super League, Chinglensana Singh put in a solid performance at the back, to help his side to consecutive clean sheets this season. He spoke about his performance, learning from the head coach and more, after the game.
On deserving more than a point against BFC…
Yes, of course. Every game we play, we look forward to winning. That’s our mentality. Our manager keeps saying that we go to every game to win. We take it game by game. But we were unfortunate to not win today. The team played well and kept the clean sheet, which is very important, early in the season.
On HFC’s in-form backline…
It feels good. You want to keep learning and growing. As I said, everything comes from training, we learn what we do every day on the training ground. We work on our shape and we have our reward now with two clean sheets so far this season.

On preparations leading to the BFC game…
Yeah for us, we focus on our team more. The coach always says that we don’t focus much on the opponent. We focus on the jobs we have to do on the night. Against Bengaluru, three points would have been better but we will take one point since it was an away game.
On learning from Manolo Marquez…
We have taken four points so far this season and all the credit goes to him. He has been working very hard with us, with every individual, who is playing or on the bench. There is good competition in the team, and everybody can step up and perform for the team, which will push us to perform well throughout the ISL season.
