Hyderabad FC put four past Mohammedan

Allan, Sapic and Parag score in massive 4-0 win away from home

Kolkata: Hyderabad FC registered their first win of the 2024-25 Indian Super League season in style today.

Goals from Allan Paulista (4’, 15’), Stefan Sapic (12’) and Parag Shrivas (51’) sealed the deal early for Hyderabad, who take three points from a tough visit to the Kishore Bharati Stadium in Kolkata on Saturday, October 26.

Allan started the rout with a close-range goal, making the most of a mistake from the MSC keeper, just four minutes in.

Cy Goddard’s corner was then thumped in by Sapic for his first goal in India.

Hyderabad added a third, after Allan curled one in from the edge of the box, taking the game away from the hosts in the first 15 minutes of the game.

Parag Shrivas scored a banger after the restart while the likes of Abdul Rabeeh, Ramhlunchhunga, Sourav K and Devendra Murgaonkar also came close on an entertaining night for the Yellow and Black.

The backline of Muhammed Rafi, Alex Saji, Stefan Sapic and Parag Shrivas did well at the back too.

Lalbiakhlua Jongte, who was covering in for the injured Arshdeep Singh, put in a solid performance. He registered his first ever ISL clean sheet, in his first appearance of the season.

Hyderabad fought hard, and this time, converted the chances, as they ran riot at the KBK.

This result takes them to four points from five games, as they look to climb up the ladder in the ISL table.

After a couple of tough away trips, the Nawabs are back in action when they welcome Mohun Bagan to the Maidaan on Wednesday, October 30.
